Can I solve a bunch of personal problems using NLP on myself?

Can you answer Normal Default’s question about Hypnosis?:

I have a lot of problems and I don’t know where to start. NLP is neurolinguistic programming.
I have a bunch of problems that I have identified, but it seems overwhelming. I don’t think turning to Jesus is going to work. The problems seem insurmountable. I am dysfunctional. I keep going to sleep and hoping to wake up with all of the answers to my problems. It never happens. Which area of my life is the best place to start?
I am trying to solve all of my problems by myself since I don’t have any friends or anyone else to talk to. I can’t function in the social world. I keep going to sleep hoping that I don’t wake up.

Hypnosis Feedback: If you are overwhelmed, dont want to live, and have social anxiety, these are all symptoms of depression. Meds can help. Go to a Dr, get some meds to help you thru this rough time, and then when you are feeling better try out the NLP and examine other situational problems that may lead to future depression. It takes work. GL

Hypnosis Feedback: I agree with Rose. Tell a teacher or school counselor or doctor. Get help.

Hypnosis Feedback: Been there, done that, not just nlp, but the whole dysfunction, hoping for miracle bit too. You can try it and see how that helps you, but what it does is it puts you into a very high emotional state in which you feel you can conquer the world but it never lasts for long. It may last a week before you need to listen to more tapes. For a person who want to wake up and find all answers, nlp can be dangerous because it makes you feel that that can happen fast and when it doesn’t you can be disappointed. It can happen but only with lot’s of time. I find that getting a therapist or finding someone that’s understanding to talk with is alot of help, writing in journal, learning about depression and all the possible causes, taking a more traditional step by step process to obtaining goals works.
Nlp is good to use to improve attitude and career goals, but i don’t find it to be helpful to get rid of mental illness including depression. For depression, it’s better to gain self understanding in terms of feelings, needs, wants, history, goals, and to find someone to talk with about it. Take things slowly, rest, accept yourself, eat well, exercise, try saying hi to people, then take step by step process towards goals after you take good care of yourself.

Hypnosis Feedback: I have recently written a load of articles specifically on using NLP to change yourself.

Checkout the Primers and exercises listed below. I’m sure you’ll find something to help you out.

    Good Luck
